Abstract

Self-confidence is an essential aspect of students' development that influences academic performance, social interaction, and personal potential. However, some students still demonstrate low self-confidence, as reflected in their reluctance to express opinions, fear of making mistakes, hesitation to speak in front of the class, and lack of confidence in their abilities. This study aims to describe the strategies employed by Guidance and Counseling teachers to improve students' self-confidence through individual counseling services at SMKN 3 Kota Kediri. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana (2014)  model, including data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation. The findings indicate that Guidance and Counseling teachers implemented problem identification, individual counseling, motivation, positive reinforcement, and students' potential development. These strategies effectively enhanced students' confidence in expressing opinions, social interaction, and belief in their own abilities.
