The use of media in guidance and counseling services (BK services) is very important. The use of media will make it easier for students to understand service material, can facilitate and improve the effectiveness in communicating and interacting between students/counselee with counselors and one of the media that can be utilized is wayang (puppet). But in reality, the use of puppet media for guidance & counseling services is still very low. This is caused by several factors, such as: lack of understanding of counselors regarding service media, lack of interest and motivation of counselor to utilize the media, limited abilities and skills of counselors in developing media. To find solutions to the low use of puppet media, this research aims to explore opportunity to use puppets as guidance & counseling media. The method used is study literature review. Based on the results of the study found: Utilization of the type of shadow puppet as a medium, various types of puppets from modification and development, various purpose of use, and various targets of use. From these findings it can be concluded that there are still many opportunities to use puppets as guidance & counseling media.

Based on observations made at SMAN 7 Kediri class XI and XII, students are not confident in their ability to do difficult things, hesitate when making decisions, afraid to express opinions in front of the class, stressed if their test scores are bad and confused about planning career choices or study choices. Continued seeing this phenomenon, counselor needs to develop innovative BK media. One of the media described in this paper is a truth or dare game in which there are aspects of self-efficacy. The purpose of this research is to describe the product prototype of the checkers game in an effort to increase the self-efficacy of junior high school students. This product development was developed using the Borg & Gall development method with the stages only up to the manufacture of product prototypes.

Student academic procrastination is an important problem that needs special attention because if it is allowed to continue it will have a bad effect on students such as decreased student achievement and can even be the cause of student failure in learning and achieving their future or goals. The role of the counseling teacher at school is very important to help reduce student procrastination, so that students can prepare for their future. The form of effort that can be made by BK teachers is to provide guidance services by utilizing guidance and counseling media with the consideration that guidance and counseling media can stimulate students' thoughts, feelings, concerns and willingness to understand or direct themselves and make decisions and solve problems faced for the sake of optimal individual development. Student well-being is the degree of effectiveness of adolescent functioning, which can be seen from two dimensions, namely the intrapersonal dimension and the interpersonal dimension. The intrapersonal dimension is the internalization of feelings of self as a learner and the effectiveness of their function within the school community. Meanwhile, the interpersonal dimension is related to students' assessment of their environment and the effectiveness of their functions in the school community. Student well-being positively influences the learning process and learning outcomes of adolescents as students, because students who are satisfied with themselves will develop a positive attitude towards the learning process and improve their achievement and enable them to overcome the adverse effects of their learning environment. Some children have reading and writing disorders, the disorder is called dyslexia. Dyslexia is a disorder that is centered on the nervous system. Dyslexia is a condition in which individuals show significant difficulties in language areas including spelling, reading, and writing. Most ordinary people understand dyslexia as a condition in which a child has difficulty learning to read, is lazy to write, if he writes a lot of letters are lost, it is difficult to count, and so on, but actually dyslexia is not that simple at all. Therefore, there needs to be a role from various parties to recognize this condition and then handle it with various strategies. This study aims to describe 1) difficulties experienced by dyslexic children 2) factors that influence dyslexic reading difficulties and 3) efforts made by teachers to overcome dyslexic children. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study type of research. The results of the study show that 1) The difficulties experienced by dyslexic children include not being able to read syllables, often changing letters and not being able to distinguish letters that are almost similar, often even guessing at random in reading words, and still confused in assembling words. 2) Factors that affect dyslexic children are the lack of motivation and support from parents for children's learning at home or at school. 3) The efforts made by the teacher have played quite well. However, dyslexic children need special learning methods in their guidance so it is suggested that teachers are able to master and apply special methods for dyslexic children.

Penerapan Teknik Sosiodrama Ande-Ande Lumut Dalam Assertive Training Untuk Meningkatkan Sikap Asertif

The problem of students who are aggressive and passive can be overcome with an assertive training approach with Ande-ande moss sociodrama. This game directs students to form a more active and more assertive personality and less aggressive. This study aims to determine efforts to increase assertiveness through sociodrama ande-ande moss. The research design uses the McTaggart and Kemmis model of action research. The research procedure used consists of four phases of activity including planning (planning), implementation (action), observation (observation), and reflection (reflection). The results showed that there was an increase in students' assertiveness classically, from the first cycle of research there was an increase in students' assertiveness to 64%. After the researchers continued to improve on the sociodrama ande-ande moss in the second cycle of research, the results also showed a significant increase, reaching 94%. Based on these results it can be said that the sociodrama ande-ande moss model can improve students' assertive behavior. In addition, student activity in the process of classical guidance in class also increased, namely from 40% in the pre-research, in research I became 82% and in research II it became 94%. This shows that assertive training with ande-ande moss sociodrama can improve students' assertiveness. Researchers suggest that assertive training can be used in other schools.

UNESCO recognizes Wayang as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. This is the pride of all Indonesian people, so character education in Indonesia must be developed through wayang figures, one of which is the Pandawa Lima character. However, in reality the younger generation's understanding of wayang culture is still low, this is influenced by western culture that entered Indonesia, causing the younger generation to move away from traditional arts which include wayang. Currently, Indonesia's younger generation is encouraged to create characters that fit the profile of Pancasila students. This encourages research on the Pandawa character and its harmonization with the teaching of Indonesian characters in formal education settings. Through understanding the Pandawa character, it is hoped that efforts can be made at all levels of Indonesian formal and non-formal educational institutions to optimize character education which can produce competent and broad-minded future generations of the nation. Character as evidence of the construction of civilization for the life of the nation and state Indonesia.

Konseling Person Centered Dengan Nilai Budaya Minang dalam Membantu Penyesuaian Diri Siswa

Students who migrate will find obstacles and then make adjustments. Minang’s cultural values are considered to assist students in making adjustments through personal-centered counseling. The purpose of this article is to (1) describe Minang’s culture in the context of guidance and counseling, (2) find configurations of person-centered counseling to help with adjustment, and (3) construct person-centered assistance to help with the adjustment. The study's results will be used to formulate the concept of person-centered counseling with Minang’s cultural values to help adjust. This research method is a literature review. The conclusion is that person-centered counseling combined with elements of Minang culture is predicted to be able to help students adjust. The person-centered approach focuses more on the counseling relationship so that the counselee can be open about his problems. Meanwhile, Minang's cultural values and self-adjustment are similar in the personal and social fields of guidance and counseling. Specifically, Minang’s cultural values are used by counselors in helping counselees to accept their situation in the here and now context.

The independent curriculum is a more flexible and project-based curriculum so that students have enough time for in-depth learning, character and competency development according to the profile of Pancasila students. The role of guidance and counseling services in the independent curriculum is as a coordinator in realizing the psychological well-being of students and facilitating their development so that they are able to actualize their potential in achieving optimal development, especially in the current era of globalization. To support the realization of the Pancasila student profile, guidance and counseling teachers need to facilitate students by creating interesting counseling service innovations that uphold local wisdom by inviting students to create works in the form of comic strips based on local wisdom that can be used as guidance and counseling media. In making this work students will be actively involved directly so that they will appreciate culture, increase interaction, collaboration, and independence. In addition, students can express their ideas and creative ideas in one page of comic strips so as to produce works in the form of comic strips based on local wisdom which are a reflection of Pancasila values so that students make Pancasila a way of life.

The guidance process if only using interviews tends to make the guidance process less effective and efficient. So that through group guidance information on career planning can be conveyed properly. The purpose of this article is to serve as a reference for further research in the process of developing Snakes and ladders media based on career planning and to produce valid, practical, effective and responsive media. The existence of this media is expected to help the guidance process in schools. Students are expected to be active in planning their career according to their talents and interests.
