Abstract

Student academic procrastination has become a common phenomenon in the world of education. Student academic procrastination is an important problem that needs special attention because if it is allowed to continue it will have a bad effect on students such as decreased student achievement and can even be the cause of student failure in learning and achieving their future or goals. The role of the counseling teacher at school is very important to help reduce student procrastination, so that students can prepare for their future. The form of effort that can be made by BK teachers is to provide guidance services by utilizing guidance and counseling media with the consideration that guidance and counseling media can stimulate students' thoughts, feelings, concerns and willingness to understand or direct themselves and make decisions and solve problems faced for the sake of optimal individual development. Utilizing the media in the implementation of guidance and counseling will help BK teachers in reducing student academic procrastination.
