Pengoptimalan Penggunaan Metode Jarimatika Terhadap Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas IV SDN Tarokan Kediri

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in multiplication material caused by the use of conventional learning methods that are less interesting. To overcome this, this study aims to determine the optimization of the use of the jarimatika method on students' mathematics learning outcomes. The jarimatika method was chosen because it is visual and kinesthetic, so it is expected to be able to improve students' understanding and numeracy skills. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of the Nonequivalent Control Group Design type. The research subjects consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class (using the jarimatika method) and the control class (using conventional methods). The research instrument was a test (pretest and posttest). Data analysis was carried out through normality, homogeneity, and T-test tests with the help of SPSS version 24. The results showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups with a significance of 0.036 (<0.05). In conclusion, the jarimatika method has a positive effect on students' mathematics learning outcomes.
