Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of time management skills on self-regulated learning in grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Gurah. The background of this study is based on the importance of time management skills in supporting students' learning independence in the era of modern learning that demands personal responsibility and initiative. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational survey method. The study population was 360 grade XI students, and a sample of 78 students was determined through proportional random sampling techniques to ensure adequate representativeness. Data collection was carried out using a closed questionnaire that had been tested for content validity through expert judgment and reliability through the Cronbach Alpha test. Data analysis used simple linear regression to test the effect of independent variables on dependent variables. The results of the analysis showed a positive and significant effect of time management skills on self-regulated learning with a coefficient of determination value indicating a moderate contribution. These findings reveal that students with better time management skills tend to have higher abilities in planning, monitoring, and evaluating their learning process independently. The implications of this study are expected to be the basis for schools and teachers in designing learning programs that emphasize strengthening time management skills as a strategy to improve students' self-regulated learning. Thus, students are expected to be able to optimize their independent learning potential to achieve better learning outcomes.
