Abstract
Inclusive education at the elementary school level is an approach that supports the diversity of learners, including children with special needs, so that they can learn together in the same environment. The background of the problem in this study is the challenges faced by elementary schools in implementing inclusive education effectively, especially related to limited resources, teacher training, and awareness of the importance of inclusive education. The role of inclusive education is to create an environment that supports children's academic and social development. Which includes a literature review from various journals using qualitative research methods. Although there has been progress in the implementation of inclusive education, major challenges such as inadequate teacher training, inadequate facilities, and lack of cooperation between schools and parents are still major obstacles. The main conclusion of this study is that the success of inclusive education at the elementary school level is highly dependent on improving the quality of teacher training, providing inclusive facilities, and strong support from parents and the community.
