Implementasi Program Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Petungroto Kabupaten Kediri

Abstract
Education is an effort to develop students knowledge, character, and skills to become a young generation who is ready and able to face all challenges related to social changes in people's lives. Character education provides a demand for all students to have good character values. This study aims to record, analyze, and describe the implementation of character education in elementary schools, supporting factors for implementing character education strengthening programs, and inhibiting factors for implementing character education strengthening programs. This research method uses a qualitative research approach because this research is descriptive analysis. Data collection in this study used observation and interview methods. The subjects were principals, teachers, and students at SDN Petungroto, Kediri Regency. The result of this study is that all school residents can implement the 5 character program of strengthening character education which includes religious, nationalist, independent, mutual aid, and integrity. Supporting factors are the principal, teachers, and guardians of students at SDN Petungroto, Kediri Regency. The inhibiting factors in implementing this are infrastructure, different student characters, and low student discipline
