This study examines the role of multicultural counseling in reducing social segregation experienced by minority students in schools. Using a literature review approach, this paper analyzes research findings related to the forms, causes, and impacts of social segregation, as well as the strategies of multicultural counseling applied in educational settings. The results show that minority students often face exclusion based on religion, disability, socioeconomic status, ethnicity, and language, leading to psychological distress, academic decline, and limited social interaction. Multicultural counseling contributes significantly by promoting cultural awareness, reducing prejudice, strengthening students' identity, and creating an inclusive school climate. However, challenges such as language barriers, counselor biases, and limited multicultural competencies still hinder optimal implementation. Overall, multicultural counseling plays a crucial role in supporting minority students and fostering equity in education.
