Abstract

Nature-loving university students are often engaged in outdoor activities that demand not only physical endurance but also strong psychological readiness in facing risk, uncertainty, and challenging environments. In such contexts, self confidence becomes a crucial psychological factor that supports effective decision making, emotional regulation, and adaptive behavior. Wall climbing in this regard functions as an experiential activity that provides structured exposure to challenging situations, enabling individuals to develop self-awareness and psychological strength. Through direct engagement, students are encouraged to confront fear, regulate emotions, make strategic decisions, and strengthen belief in their own abilities. The development of self-confidence is reflected in increased courage, independence, optimism, and resilience, which are influenced by mastery experiences, reflective processes, peer support, and the quality of facilitation. From a guidance and counseling perspective, wall climbing represents an experiential based intervention that integrates physical challenge with psychological development. Therefore, it has strong potential as an effective medium for strengthening self-confidence among nature-loving university students.
