Pentingnya Berpikir Kritis dalam Pengambilan Keputusan pada Siswa SMA

Abstract

The ability to think critically is an essential skill that high school students really need in facing the complexity of life in the modern era. Critical thinking allows students to analyze information objectively, evaluate various points of view, and make rational, evidence-based decisions. This is important, especially in making decisions that affect their future, both in the world of education and everyday life. This research aims to explore the role of critical thinking in decision making among high school students. The results show that developing critical thinking skills can increase independence, help students make wiser decisions, and improve their character. Problem-based learning methods and open discussions with families are important factors in supporting the development of these skills. However, challenges such as a learning culture that emphasizes memorization and exposure to false information on social media are still obstacles. Therefore, changes are needed in teaching approaches, increasing digital literacy, and an evaluation system that places greater emphasis on analysis and synthesis of information.
