Abstract

The purpose of this research and development is to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of smart box media on multiplication & division materials for grade II elementary school students. The research method used is R & D (Reseach and Development) with the ADDIE model which consists of 5 steps, namely (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, (5) Evaluation. The results of this study indicate the feasibility level of smart box learning media for multiplication and division material in grade II elementary school math subjects. Based on the assessment of media experts obtained a percentage score of 85% with the category "Very Valid". The material expert assessment obtained a percentage score of 90% with the category "Very Valid". Practicality assessment obtained from a limited and broad scale subject response questionnaire, on a limited scale subject the teacher response questionnaire obtained a score of 94% with the category "Very Practical" and the teacher response questionnaire obtained a score of 98% with the category "Very Practical". On a wide scale, the teacher response questionnaire scored 94% with the category "Very Practical" and the student response questionnaire scored 99% with the category "Very Practical". The validity assessment was obtained from the limited scale and broad scale post-test results. The limited scale obtained an average score of 89 with the category "Very Effective" and the broad scale obtained an average score of 90.3 with the category "Very Effective". Thus, the smart box learning media for multiplication & division material can be said to be feasible to use as a learning media for multiplication & division material for grade II elementary school students.
