Abstract

Multiplication is a topic that is very difficult for most students to understand. Teachers should be able to apply different learning styles in teaching multiplication to students, so that students can understand it more easily and quickly. Multiplication is a science that students must understand so that multiplication can later be applied in everyday life. In mathematics learning, especially in multiplication material, teachers have not implemented appropriate learning media so that students find it difficult in multiplication material. This research aims to 1) analyze the need for learning media,. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. Data collection was carried out through interviews and distributing questionnaires to teachers and students. This research was conducted at SDN Tiron 4, Kediri city by conducting interviews with class III teachers and distributing questionnaires to 22 class III students. Based on the needs questionnaire, the PAPINKAN (Multiplication Smart Board) learning media is needed by students and teachers, and learning is approved for development.
