Abstract

This research is motivated by the limitations of teachers in using interactive multimedia in grade IV, which still relies on lecture methods and simple media such as pictures and theme books. As a result, approximately 50% of students obtain grades below the KKTP (70). The purpose of this study was to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of interactive multimedia based on the Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) model on the material of the rights and obligations of grade IV students at SDN Jati Tarokan. The study used the R&D method with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, validation questionnaires, practicality questionnaires, and pretest and posttest tests. The results showed that the media was very valid (average 94.75%), very practical (95%), and effective in improving student learning outcomes with an increase in the average score from 43.18 to 84.55 and an N-Gain value of 0.728. Thus, interactive multimedia based on POE is suitable for use in learning.
