Inovasi Media Komik Etnomatematika pada Pembelajaran Sifat Bangun Datar di Kelas IV SD

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN Mojoroto 4 Kediri in the topic of plane figure properties, due to unengaging and non-contextual learning media. The aim of this study was to develop a digital comic-based learning media incorporating ethnomathematics through traditional Indonesian snacks to enhance students' understanding of geometric concepts. The method used was Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The resulting product is a digital comic that integrates traditional snacks such as klepon, gethuk lindri, and wajik with various plane figures including squares, triangles, and parallelograms. Validation results from media and material experts indicated that the media is highly valid, practical, and effective in improving students' learning outcomes. In conclusion, the developed ethnomathematics comic media is suitable for use as a contextual and enjoyable learning alternative that enhances students' comprehension of plane figure properties
