Abstract

The BANI era presents significant challenges to mental health of society. This condition demands innovation in mental health service design that is adaptable to artificial intelligence (AI), well remaining grounded in ethics and local wisdom. The utilization of AI opens up strategic opportunities in supporting the strenghening of psychological resilience, but it potentially raises ethical issues and cultural insensitivity if not designed contextually. This article aims to present an ethical prompt engineering framework based on local wisdom as a best practice in AI-based mental health services. This research uses a development-based literature study approach by analyzing relevant scientific sources and designing effective and ethical AI prompts. The study result show that this framework provides guidance for ethically designed AI prompts in designing mental health service steps, creating non-stimatizing assessment instrument and rubrics, and designing the concept of mental health service media. This Framework provides practical guidance for mental health service practitioners on how to responsibly utilize AI in the BANI era.
