The phenomenon of gratitude deficit among Generation Z has become a serious mental health issue due to the high intensity of social comparison in the digital world. The culture of showing off and seeking validation on social media triggers feelings of dissatisfaction that increase the risk of depression and anxiety. This article explores the use of Javanese local wisdom, nrimo ing pandum, as a strategy to restore gratitude. Through a literature review, it was found that this philosophy offers a framework for emotional regulation through three components: conscious acceptance (narima), contextual awareness (ing), and sincerity about the results of life (pandum). Analysis shows that nrimo ing pandum is not mere resignation, but rather an active mental attitude that balances ambition with inner peace. The integration of this cultural value effectively suppresses perfectionism and FOMO behavior in adolescents. In conclusion, strengthening character based on local culture is a crucial intervention that is relevant and contextual in maintaining the psychological well-being of Generation Z amid digital disruption.
