Adolescents in Indonesia face increasing psychological pressures related to academic demands, family dynamics, and intensive social media use, making psychological resilience a critical protective factor. This study aims to synthesize empirical evidence on how Javanese culture contributes to the development of adolescents’ psychological resilience. Using a systematic literature review design, 22 national and international articles published between 2012–2025 were selected through predefined inclusion criteria. The analysis identifies three major roles of Javanese culture: first, cultural values such as tepa selira, rukun, and nrimo ing pandum function as mechanisms of emotion regulation and adaptive coping; second, family, community, and cultural practices strengthen identity, social support, and a sense of belonging; third, Javanese philosophy and spirituality provide a meaning-making system that helps adolescents interpret difficulties more positively. At the same time, digitalization and urbanization are weakening the transmission of cultural values. The review recommends culturally grounded interventions and school-based programs that integrate Javanese values to promote adolescent mental health.
