The BANI era, characterized by brittle, anxious, non-linear, and incomprehensible conditions, presents serious challenges to mental health and the sense of meaning in life, especially for Gen Z. Digital pressure, uncertainty about the future, and a value crisis contribute to increased anxiety and loss of direction in life. This article aims to examine the relevance of the concept of eling lan waspada (mindfulness and vigilance) in Serat Kalatidha by Raden Ngabehi Ranggawarsita as an ethical and psychological foundation for fostering meaningful life for Gen Z in the BANI era. The discussion is conducted through a conceptual study and a literature analysis that link the teachings of Eling Lan Waspada with Viktor Frankl's theory of a meaningful life. The results of the discussion show that eling represents self-awareness, spirituality, and moral values, while waspada emphasizes prudence and wisdom in responding to change. These two principles complement each other in building psychological resilience, clarifying life goals, and preventing meaninglessness. Thus, eling lan waspada is relevant as a cultural-psychological framework for strengthening the sense of meaning in life among Gen Z amid the complexity of the BANI era.
