Makna Edukasi Relief Sri Tanjung Di Candi Surowono, Desa Surowono, Kecamatan Badas, Kabupaten Kediri

Abstract

Indonesia is a region that has a long history, this is marked by the many historical buildings as an example is the surowono temple built during the Majapahit kingdom. As a sacred building, the temple is decorated by relief sculptures that are generally on the walls of the temple.  The story that is passed on the relief has a message or meaning related to moral and educational values. The problem of this research is how the meaning contained in Relief Sri Tanjung at Surowono Temple. Data collection is done by studying library archives, observations, and interviews. In the story of relief sri tanjung in Surowono temple there are character values such as hard work, loyalty, responsibility, religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, national spirit, character formation aimed at making human beings of character and morality in community life because now the character of the original Nation of Indonesia began to disappear and not known by the nation's successors. The depiction of the story in relief sri tanjung is one form of conveying messages and values contained in the community.
