Assertive behavior is the ability to express opinions, feelings, and needs while respecting the rights of others. Low assertiveness can hinder students' social interaction. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of group guidance using the sociodrama technique in improving the assertive behavior of Grade X students at SMAN 1 Papar. A quantitative approach with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design was employed. The sample consisted of 10 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using an assertive behavior scale and analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and the Paired Sample t-Test. The mean score increased from 121.40 to 154.50, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The study concludes that group guidance using the sociodrama technique effectively improves students' assertive behavior. It is recommended that school counselors apply this technique to develop students' assertiveness.
