This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the self-management technique delivered through group guidance services among eleventh-grade students of SMAN 7 Kediri. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design was used, involving 8 students selected through purposive sampling based on their high pretest scores on a behavioral scale. The self-management technique was delivered across four group-guidance sessions covering self-monitoring, goal setting, self-evaluation, self-reinforcement, and self-punishment. Data were analyzed descriptively and through the N-Gain test. Results show that the mean score decreased from 138.50 (pretest, high category) to 97.25 (posttest, moderate category), with an N-Gain score of 0.9877 (98.77%), indicating a high level of effectiveness. These findings, consistent with prior studies on self-management techniques in group and individual counseling settings, suggest that the technique is an effective intervention for helping students strengthen self-regulation.
