This study aims to examine the validity and reliability of a peer social support instrument among vocational high school students. The research employed a quantitative approach with an instrument analysis design. The participants consisted of 78 eleventh-grade students selected using a simple random sampling technique. Validity analysis was conducted using the Pearson Product Moment correlation, while reliability was tested using Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient. The results indicated that all 19 items obtained an r-value higher than the r-table value (0.254), confirming that all items were valid. In addition, the Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.870 demonstrated a very high level of reliability. Therefore, the peer social support instrument meets the criteria of validity and reliability and is appropriate for use as a measurement tool in research as well as counseling and guidance assessment activities.
