Abstract
Social media is very influential in the lives of teenagers in Indonesia, especially in using smartphones. Technology began to develop with easier access to information, giving birth to generation Z in the digital era. Generation Z requires emotional support and good behavior from peer interactions that can provide positive actions such as prosocial behavior. It aims to provide an understanding that peer interaction is expected to play a role in reducing adolescent problems and increasing prosocial behavior such as helping and sharing. Overall, it can be concluded that peer interactions encourage positive actions, and friend support is very important with factors that influence prosocial behavior such as parental teaching, teacher guidance, friend support, and television influence. Surrounding situations also influence this behavior. Strategies to increase prosocial behavior including creating a supportive environment and group-based activities are important to build positive character among Generation Z adolescents.
