Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of TikTok educational content in shaping the
academic consistency and academic discipline of students at SMAN 1 Kediri. This
research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Four students
from class XI-L were selected as research informants based on their active use of
TikTok as a learning medium and their good academic achievement. Data were
collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation.
The results indicate that TikTok educational content played a positive role as a
supplementary learning resource that helped students understand subject matter,
increased learning motivation, supported the formation of self-regulated learning,
and contributed to the development of academic consistency and discipline.
Students utilized TikTok not merely as entertainment, but also as a flexible and
accessible platform for academic support. However, the success of TikTok
utilization in shaping academic consistency and discipline was primarily determined
by students' ability to manage themselves and use social media responsibly.
