This study investigates the relationships among learning interest, self-regulated learning (SRL), and goal orientation in tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Wringinanom. Using a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from 403 students via cluster random sampling and analyzed using Spearman's Rho correlation. Results revealed significant positive relationships between learning interest and goal orientation (ρ = 0.308, p < 0.01), SRL and goal orientation (ρ = 0.326, p < 0.01), and a notably stronger association between learning interest and SRL (ρ = 0.745, p < 0.01). These findings suggest that learning interest serves as a primary antecedent of SRL, which subsequently shapes students' goal orientation patterns. The strong interdependence between motivational and self-regulatory constructs further points to SRL's mediating role in connecting learning interest to goal-directed behavior. These results emphasize the need for educational interventions that integrate motivational strategies and self-regulation training within guidance and counseling programs to support sustained academic engagement and achievement.
