Abstract
ABSTRACT
TikTok, as a short video platform, has become a part of popular culture, influencing social interaction patterns and students' digital activities. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey of 64 students selected through purposive sampling. Data was collected using a Likert scale questionnaire measuring four main indicators: emotional involvement, frequency and duration of access, social interaction, and dependence and self-control. The results show that the intensity of TikTok usage is in the moderate category, with emotional involvement reaching 53%, frequency and duration of access at 50%, social interaction at 49%, and dependence at 48%. These findings highlight the potential positive impact of TikTok on creativity and social interaction but also emphasize the importance of time management to prevent disruption to academic activities. This
study recommends digital literacy for students as well as guidance from teachers and parents to use social media productively and responsibly.
