Teknik Self Management Untuk Mengurangi Perilaku Prokrastinasi Akademik

Abstract
Students at this time experience a lot of academic procrastination behavior. Such as the behavior of procrastinating to do and complete school assignments. Which is characterized by the behavior of working on tasks in a limited time, preferring to do things they like rather than doing tasks and so on. The factors that influence the behavior of academic procrastination are categorized into two types, consisting of internal factors and external factors. The impact of this academic procrastination is to disrupt the learning process that will be carried out by students, because this action students tend to learn not optimally due to lack of time. Academic procrastination is usually caused by the lack of ability of students to manage themselves (self-management), because students are less assertive in controlling themselves to start doing their work. Self-management is very influential on student discipline, students who have high self-management are usually more diligent in doing a task or job than students who have low self-management. To reduce this academic procrastination behavior, counseling using self-management techniques is needed.
