Peran Strategis Bimbingan dan Konseling dalam Merancang Perencanaan Karir Sesuai Potensi Siswa

Abstract

Career planning is a crucial aspect of student development at the secondary education level, especially in helping them recognize their individual potential and interests. However, many students still lack clear career direction due to the absence of effective guidance and counseling services. This study aims to examine the strategic role of guidance and counseling in designing career plans that align with students' potentials. The discussion is conducted by analyzing recent empirical findings and integrating them with relevant career development theories. The results indicate that strength-based counseling approaches, the use of digital media, and the integration of career guidance into the school curriculum are essential solutions to optimize the role of school counselors. This study also recommends the development of a contextual and collaborative career guidance model as a response to the challenges of a changing era and the needs of today’s younger generation.
