Abstract

Today, digital technology has developed so rapidly, not only with the discovery of new hardware but also with the discovery of new software to meet the needs and facilitate current human activities. One of them is software that has been developed in the form of device-based applications. Applications that are growing rapidly at this time are quite a lot of interest and are used by various ages, namely social media. Nowadays people tend to depend on social media with various interests and needs on social media. Adolescence is the age when they are looking for their identity by socializing either directly or through social media, this has negative and positive impacts on individual teenagers today. This also causes the appearance of narcissism and also the emergence of a feeling of loneliness for some and even almost all teenagers today. This factor should be one of the things that must be considered by the counseling teacher at school so that it does not hinder the teaching and learning process and also the individual development process of today's adolescents.
