Hubungan Antara Minat Belajar Siswa dengan Prestasi Belajar Siswa Mata Pelajaran IPA di Kelas III SDN Ngadi Kediri

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning achievement of third grade students at SDN Ngadi Kediri. The purpose of this study was to determine 1) the level of student interest in learning, 2) the level of student learning achievement, and 3) the level of relationship between interest and student learning achievement in science subjects in class III SDN Ngadi Kediri. The subjects of this research were 28 students. The research method used is quantitative with a correlational approach. Data collection techniques include observation, documentation, and questionnaire distribution. Data analysis techniques using descriptive and inferential statistics through the calculation of the Product Moment correlation coefficient. The results showed 1) students' learning interest in science lessons received a high category with an average of 85.3%, 2) students' learning achievement in science was also in the high category with an average of 81.4%, and 3) a very strong, positive, and significant relationship was found with a Pearson correlation value of 0.903 and a significance of 0.000, where 81.6% of the variation in achievement was explained by learning interest. It is recommended that future research expand the sample or research location for wider generalization of results and longitudinal studies to see the development of interest and achievement over time.
