Penerapan Konseling Kelompok Teknik Behavior Contract dalam Penanganan Prokrastinasi Akademik

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of group counseling using behavior contract techniques in reducing students' academic procrastination. Employing a quantitative pre-experimental approach with 7 eleventh-grade Digital Business students identified with high procrastination, measurements were taken via questionnaires before and after the intervention. The results showed a decrease in procrastination (Z-value = -2.371); however, the service was not effective as the N-Gain score was 30.3 (less than 76). This finding indicates that group counseling with behavior contracts was not optimal in the context of this study, possibly due to intervention duration, student characteristics, or implementation limitations. Therefore, future research needs to explore modifications or combinations of other techniques to address academic procrastination.
