Academic anxiety is a significant barrier often experienced by vocational high school (SMK) students, particularly during exams or periods of academic pressure. This study aims to explore the role of guidance and counseling teachers (BK teachers) in reducing students' academic anxiety through group guidance services. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, the research involved one school counselor and three eleventh-grade students from SMKS Kristen YBPK Pare who experienced academic anxiety. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation. The results show that the BK teacher played an active role as a facilitator by creating an open, supportive, and empathetic environment. Group guidance provided a platform for students to express anxiety, share experiences, and learn coping strategies such as breathing relaxation, positive affirmations, and exam simulations. Positive changes were observed in student behavior, including improved self-expression, participation in group discussions, and increased confidence in managing academic pressure. Therefore, group guidance services can be an effective approach to reduce academic anxiety among vocational high school students.
