Analisis Korelasional Motivasi Belajar dengan Kepercayaan Diri pada Siswa Penerima Beasiswa Progam Indonesia Pintar di MAN 1 Kota Kediri

Abstract

Economic challenges that underlie the provision of the PIP scholarship do not automatically guarantee students' academic success. Psychological factors such as learning motivation and self-confidence play an important role in influencing learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the relationship between learning motivation and self-confidence among PIP scholarship recipients at MAN 1 Kota Kediri. This research employed a correlational quantitative method with purposive sampling technique, involving 42 PIP scholarship recipients. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire, with Shapiro-Wilk normality testing and Spearman Rank correlation analysis. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and self-confidence, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.560 and a significance value of p = 0.000. These findings indicate that the higher the students’ learning motivation, the higher their level of self-confidence. Therefore, interventions that support students' motivation may also contribute to increasing their self-confidence.
