Abstract

Career planning is an important aspect of students’ development as it helps individuals recognize their personal potential, set future goals, and make mature career decisions. However, various studies indicate that many students still experience career confusion, low self-confidence, and difficulties in formulating concrete steps toward their career goals. This article aims to describe and analyze the application of Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) in improving students’ career planning through a library research approach. The method used was a literature review by examining relevant journal articles, which were then analyzed descriptively. The findings show that SFBC is effective in helping students clarify career goals, enhance career self-efficacy, and develop career adaptability by focusing on solutions, personal strengths, and future goals. Techniques such as the miracle question and scaling question encourage students to become more confident, responsible, and actively involved in the career planning process. Therefore, SFBC is considered appropriate to be implemented in school guidance and counseling services.
