Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes and lack of student activity in IPAS learning, as well as the use of learning media that does not yet suit the characteristics of the students. This study aims to develop interactive multimedia based on Discovery Learning on the topic of force and motion to improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN Jati Tarokan. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The collected data includes product validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The validation results from material experts and media experts show an average percentage of 91% with a very valid category. The practicality data, based on questionnaires from teachers and students, obtained an average of 89% with a very practical category. The effectiveness of the product is seen from the comparison of pre-test and post-test results. The pre-test results showed an average score of 60%, while the post-test average score reached 80,59%. Based on this comparison, the product is declared effective in improving learning outcomes. Therefore, the interactive multimedia based on Discovery Learning is feasible to be used as learning media for the topic of force and motion.
