Abstract

Academic burnout is a state of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion experienced by students due to continuous academic demands. It is characterized by decreased motivation to learn, social withdrawal, mood swings, and reduced academic performance. Students who are active in student organizations are at greater risk of academic burnout because they must balance academic and organizational responsibilities. However, organizational social support can help students cope with these challenges. This article aims to describe the role of organizational social support in overcoming academic burnout. A case study was conducted on third- and fourth-year students active in organizations at Nusantara PGRI University Kediri. The findings showed that organizational social support plays an important role in managing academic stress. The support includes emotional support, instrumental support, and appreciation from fellow organization members. It helps students feel accepted, valued, understood, and supported in meeting academic demands. As a result, students increase their learning motivation, reduce academic stress, and maintain psychological well-being throughout their studies.
