Pengembangan Multimedia Interaktif Berbasis Komik Digital Materi Daur Hidup Hewan Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar

This research is motivated by the low level of student attention to teacher instructions and difficulty in understanding the animal life cycle material, with 59.2% of students experiencing difficulties and an average score of 65 below the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). Teachers mostly use lecture methods without learning media, so that student engagement and enthusiasm for learning decrease. This development research aims to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of interactive multimedia based on digital comics on animal life cycle material for grade IV Elementary School. The method used is Development Research with Tessmer formative test, involving 27 students as subjects. Data analysis techniques use qualitative and quantitative descriptive through observation, interviews, expert validation, pretest, and posttest. The results of the study show a media validity score of 81-100% (very valid), teacher and student practicality of 80-100% (very practical), and an increase in the average pretest score of 61% to 100% posttest (very effective). In conclusion, interactive multimedia based on digital comics is proven to be valid, practical, and effective in improving students' understanding of animal life cycle material.
