Self-concept is an important aspect in the psychological development of individuals, especially for students in secondary education. Self-concept includes a person's understanding of themselves, which includes physical, psychological, social, and moral dimensions. The formation of self-concept in students is influenced by various factors, including interactions with peers, parenting patterns, and the individual's physical condition. This article discusses the definition of self-concept, the factors that influence it, and its relevance in the development of high school students. Self-concept is formed through personal experiences and social interactions that are influenced by personal and environmental factors, such as parenting patterns and interactions with peers. As individuals in adolescence, students face challenges in recognizing themselves and carrying out developmental tasks, such as building mature social relationships and accepting their physical condition. Therefore, a deep understanding of self-concept is very important in supporting optimal student development.
