Peningkatan Kemampuan Komunikasi Interpersonal melalui Permainan Stacko Uno pada Siswa SMP

Abstract

Adolescence is a crucial period in the development of interpersonal communication skills because it is during this stage that individuals begin to build broader social relationships. Poor interpersonal communication skills can lead to difficulties in expressing opinions, forming relationships with peers, and adapting to the school environment. One tool that has the potential to be used to develop these skills is the game Stacko Uno, which is popular among adolescents and is played in groups, thereby encouraging interaction among players. This study aims to analyze improvements in students’ interpersonal communication skills through group counseling sessions using the Stacko Uno game. The study employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design and involved eight students as the research sample. The results indicate that the use of the Stacko Uno game in group counseling sessions effectively improved students’ interpersonal communication skills. Thus, the Stacko Uno game can be utilized as an alternative tool in group counseling to support the development of students’ interpersonal communication skills
