The development of technology and digitalization has brought major changes in the world of education, including in guidance and counseling services in schools. This transformation presents new challenges in maintaining local cultural values while requiring guidance and counseling (BK) teachers to adjust their approach. The personalities of guidance and counseling teachers that reflect cultural values such as empathy, openness, communication ethics, and integrity become the main foundation in establishing therapeutic relationships with students. Counseling approaches that integrate local values such as gotong royong, tepa selira, and good manners not only strengthen the emotional bond between teachers and students, but also foster students' character and identity in the midst of globalization. Through interpersonal relationships that are humanistic and contextual, counseling teachers are able to create a counseling environment that is warm, safe, and relevant to the students' culture.
