Pengembangan Buku Awara Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Untuk Pengenalan Bahasa Jawa Pada Anak Usia 4 - 5 Tahun

This study aimed to develop the AWARA Book as a learning medium for introducing the Javanese language to children aged 4–5 years and to examine the feasibility of the developed media. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) approach by adapting the Borg and Gall model into seven stages: identifying potential and problems, collecting data, designing the product, validating the design, revising the design, conducting product trials, and carrying out product revisions. The validation process involved material experts, media experts, and kindergarten teachers as practitioners using a Likert-scale assessment instrument analyzed through the Aiken's V index. A limited product trial was conducted with ten Group A children at TK Rahman Nuri Kediri. The findings revealed that the AWARA Book achieved a highly valid category based on evaluations from material experts, media experts, and practitioner teachers. Furthermore, the trial results indicated that the developed media effectively supported the introduction of the Javanese language through engaging, interactive, and developmentally appropriate learning activities. Therefore, the AWARA Book is considered feasible for use as a learning medium to introduce the Javanese language to children aged 4–5 years.
