The implementation of Western-origin counseling techniques in Indonesia often encounters cultural gap challenges that affect client responses and intervention effectiveness, particularly in solution-focused approaches. This study aims to deeply analyze the implementation trends, effectiveness levels, and forms of adaptation of the miracle question technique within solution-focused brief counseling practices in Indonesia. The subjects of this study are secondary literature consisting of accredited national scientific journal articles, seminar proceedings, and dissertations published within the last ten years, selected based on strict inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research method used is a systematic literature review with data collection techniques through digital database searching and utilizing thematic analysis to identify technique modification patterns. The results indicate that the miracle question technique proves effective in increasing optimism and reducing problems in both educational and clinical settings when the original narrative is modified using religious approaches and concrete language. It is concluded that the success of this technique in Indonesia heavily relies on the counselor's flexibility in reconstructing language that aligns with local wisdom values, implying the importance of integrating multicultural competencies in professional counselor practices to assist clients in formulating realistic and achievable behavioral change goals.
