Model Pembelajaran Isu-Isu Kontroversial untuk Mengembangkan Civic Disposition Siswa Kelas X-1 SMAN 1 Rejoso

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the controversial issues-based learning model in developing civic disposition among tenth-grade students at SMAN 1 Rejoso during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research wasmotivated by the low student participation in Pancasila Education classes, particularly in expressing opinions and demonstrating responsible citizenship behavior. Using a classroom action research procedures, this research was conducted in two cycles with observation and questionnaire techniques. The results show that the application of this learning model significantly improved students'active participation,responsibility,and critical thinking.Students became more confident in voicing opinions, engaged in discussions, and demonstrated tolerance toward differing views. Moreover, the model fostered concern for others and strengthened their commitment to Pancasila values. These findings indicate that the controversial issues-based learning model is effective in facilitating the development of civic disposition, as it is fundamental to fostering individuals who actively participate and take responsibility in democratic life.
