The background of this study is about the challenges in the era of very rapid technological development, it is undeniable that children at elementary school age are already using gadgets, this can affect the entry of foreign cultures that should not be owned by children of elementary school age, therefore this study has the aim of finding out how the implementation of the cultural literacy movement towards Character Education of class V students of SDN 1 Banjarsari, This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach, the research instruments used are interviews and photo and video documentation, qualitative research used by researchers is intended so that there is information and data that has been obtained from research subjects by utilizing qualitative methods during the research, The results of this study are the implementation of cultural and citizenship literacy based on 5 aspects: 1) Aspect of national commitment, That every Monday there are ceremonial activities and on Saturday there are scouting activities. 2) Aspect of tolerance, Based on the results of observations, researchers see directly many students who can interact with friends from different backgrounds and students who understand other people's points of view, the application of tolerance at SDN Banjarsari has been going well. 3) Anti-violence aspect, this attitude has been very well formed in students. From what researchers have observed, many students where if a conflict has arisen, most of them avoid it, and involve more adults. 4) Accommodating and inclusive aspects, they always show empathy towards fellow friends. Students help each other friends who are in trouble. 5) Aspect of caring for the environment, grade 5 students show an attitude of caring for the environment, by doing class picket and throwing garbage in its place. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of cultural and civic literacy at SDN 1 Banjarsari has been carried out well, covering the 5 aspects mentioned.
