Media Pembelajaran LABU (Lapisan Bumi) Berbasis Augmented Reality pada Materi Struktur Lapisan Bumi untuk Siswa Kelas 5 Sekolah Dasar

This research is motivated by the difficulty of students in understanding abstract material, especially on the topic of the structure of the earth's layers, as well as the minimal use of technology-based learning media in the classroom. Seeing this phenomenon, efforts are needed to overcome these problems by developing LABU (Earth Layers) learning media based on Augmented Reality (AR) which is able to present three-dimensional visualizations to help understand concepts concretely. The purpose of this study was to develop and test the validity of the media for 5th grade elementary school students. The study used a Research and Development (R&D) approach with a 4D development model, which focused on the develop stage, including validation by material experts, media experts, and education practitioners. The validation results showed that the LABU media obtained an average percentage of 87.5% with a very valid category. Based on these results, the LABU media was declared feasible to use and can be further developed on a wider scale as an innovative technology-based learning solution.
