Abstract

This research aims to 1) analyze the problems faced by students and teachers in the local wisdom learning process; 2) describe the learning media used by teachers in class IV culture-rich Indonesian material in elementary schools; 3) analyze students' needs for the use of learning media in class IV culture-rich Indonesia material in elementary schools. The data collection techniques used were observation and needs analysis questionnaires which were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of research in the field concluded that 1) the learning media used was still less than optimal; 2) there is a problem of students not knowing the local wisdom of the Kediri region; 3) the learning media that needs to be developed for culturally rich Indonesia material is interactive multimedia based on local Kediri wisdom. The conclusion of this research is that interactive learning media based on Kediri local wisdom is needed.
