Abstract

This research is based on observations and interviews at SDN Jajar 1, there is a problem that students experience low learning outcomes. In learning fictional fairy tale text material, students experience a decrease in learning outcomes due to the lack of variation in learning and the absence of teaching materials to support learning. The purpose of this study is to develop picture story books on fictional fairy tale text material to improve the learning outcomes of elementary school students. This study uses the research and development (R&D) method. This development research uses the ADDIE model (Analysis, Development, Design, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of this study were class II of SDN Jajar 1, totaling 20 students. This product obtained results through the validation test stage from teaching material experts, material experts, teacher and student response questionnaires and post-test results. The validation test of teaching material experts obtained 86% with very valid criteria and the validation of material experts obtained 92% with very valid criteria. The teacher's response obtained a score of 92% with very practical criteria and the student's response obtained a score of 89% with very practical criteria. The student's extensive trial obtained a score of 92% which was declared very effective.
