Urgensi Empati Konselor Dalam Meningkatkan Kualitas Layanan Konseling

Abstract

Empathy is a core counselor competency crucial for building effective therapeutic relationships and creating a safe counseling environment. This study aims to examine the urgency of counselor empathy in enhancing the quality of counseling services. Utilizing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, content analysis was conducted on 10 relevant scientific articles. The findings indicate that empathy fosters client trust, enhances openness, and is driven by genuineness and positive regard. In conclusion, developing empathetic skills is essential for reinforcing counselors' professional competence and maximizing the overall effectiveness of the counseling process.
