Strategi Peningkatan Efikasi Diri Konselor dalam Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Profesional

Abstract

Counselor self-efficacy is a key factor influencing professional competence and the effectiveness of counseling services. Although numerous studies have developed various intervention strategies to enhance counselor self-efficacy, empirical evidence remains fragmented and has not been comprehensively synthesized. This study aimed to identify intervention strategies, examine the methodological characteristics of existing studies, and synthesize empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of interventions for improving counselor self-efficacy. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Literature was retrieved from the Scopus database, covering articles published between 2014 and 2024. Following the screening process, 18 empirical studies met the inclusion criteria and were included in the review. The findings indicate that various interventions, including experiential learning, supervision, multicultural competency training, video modeling, service learning, and professional development programs, were effective in enhancing counselor self-efficacy. Most studies employed experimental research designs and were predominantly conducted in the United States. These findings suggest that counselor self-efficacy can be systematically strengthened through structured intervention programs and highlight the need to develop culturally relevant intervention models that support counselor education and counseling practice in Indonesia.
