Abstract

Education plays a vital role in preparing students to plan their future, including their pathways to higher education. However, many high school students still lack sufficient understanding of various aspects of higher education, such as types of institutions, admission pathways, study programs, tuition costs, and scholarship opportunities. This lack of understanding often leads to poor decision-making or reluctance to continue their studies. This conceptual article examines the implementation of the Jigsaw technique in classical guidance services to enhance students’ understanding of higher education. The Jigsaw technique is a cooperative learning method that encourages students to work in expert groups, master subtopics, and teach them to their peers. This approach fosters an active, collaborative, and meaningful learning environment. When applied in classical guidance sessions, it enables students not only to receive information but also to engage actively in the learning process. The integration of the Jigsaw technique is considered effective in improving students’ comprehension, engagement, and readiness to make well-informed decisions regarding their higher education plans.
